Abstract

Learning motivation is defined as internal and external factor of learningbehavior of a student. One of the external factor of learning motivation is theenvironment in house; the occupant density in the house (space index pressure) for the example.This study was aimed to investigate space index pressure correlating with learning motivation at home of students in class II th in Blega senior high school, Bangk:alan. The design used in this study was analytic correlation design. The population was of the all students in class II th at Blega senior high school Bangkalan. whom deal directly with the student. Total sample was 133 respondents. The independent variable was the space index pressure in respondent's house. The dependent variable was the learning motivation at home. Data were co1lected us~g structured questionnaire to measure the learning motivation with instrument ARCS, interview and observation directly at respondent's house to measure the space index pressure. The data were then analyzed using correlations of speannan tho with level of significance of~ 0,05. The results has a correlation ~index pressure with learning motivmion at home from respondents in class 11 (p = 0,026). Further studies should involve larger respondents not only in one place and better measurement tools to obtain more accmate results.
