HUBUNGAN PENGGUNAAN KACA MATA KOREKSI PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DENGAN MIOPIA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR DI SDN PACAR KELING VI SURABAYA.

Abstract
Use of correctional-glass with miopia’s schoolchild is aiming to improve the eyesight so that disorder is not going to happen in learning process, furthermore its objective is describing correlation of use correctional glasses toward Miopia’s schoolchild against learning achievement in SDN Pacar Keling VI Surabaya.
This research using cross sectional method. The populations were miopia’s schoolchildren who are using correctional glasses and at the age of 6-12 years in SDN Pacar Keling VI Surabaya. These samples were collected by “simple random sampling” with 84 responders. The datas were collected with direct observation, questionnaires and secondary grade report. The datas were analysis with “spearman rank” coefficient of statistic correlation, with significance level p ≤ 0,05.
The results of analysis evidence have showed for the correlation level is p=0,006, and the learning achievement is 0,297, so there is low correlation between using correctional glasses toward miopia’s school children in SDN Pacar Keling VI Surabaya.
The conclusion of this research is using of correctional glasses could affect to sharpness of the eyesight. Good sharpness of the eyesight is very important for process of learning in the classroom. The schoolchildren who are suffering miopia are suggested to wearing correctional glasses during the process of learning and teaching in the classroom and also during learning by reading at their home, in order to avoiding any missed-perception of their knowledge which could impact to their learning achievement.
