Abstract

Milk is very important to baby growth and development. Problem in milk production and ejection cause the lactation is not effective. Lactation management is needed to increase milk production and ejection. This study was intended to identify postpartum mother's behavior on lactation management and its correlation with the milk production and ejection in midwifery practice Mrs. Hamilatul RU Karang sambigalih Distict Sugio, Lamongan. This study used Coss-Sectional design. The population was post partum mother's who breasfeeding in midwifery practice Mrs. Hamilatul RU Karang sambigalih Distict Sugio, Lamongan. Sample were taken using purposive sampling whit inclution criteria. The independent variable was mother's behavior on lactation management. The dependent variable was the milk production and ejection. Data were collected by using questionnaire, observation and interview. Data were analyzed using spearman's statistical test with significance level p < 0,05. Result showed that mother's knowledge on lactation management had correlation with milk production and ejection (p=0,004, r=0,609). Their attitude correlation with milk production and ejection (p=0,014, r=0,541 ). The last, mother's behaviour correlation with milk production and ejection (p=O,OOO, r=O, 719). Conclusively, knowledge, attitude and behaviour of mother's on lactation management have significant correlation with milk production and ejection. Health workers should improve their program in socialized the information about lactation management.
