Abstract

Introduction:CBCT-3D (ConeBeamComputedTomography) is an advanced radiograph icimaging technology that iscurrently being developed and utilizedindentistry,withtheadvantagesofaccuratelydepictingthree-dimensional(3D)tissuestructures, minimaldistortion, and lowradiationdose. RSKGMP Universitas Airlangga is an educational dental hospital and one of the few hospitals in Surabaya city anda lsoEastJavaProvincethatprovidesCBCT-3Dexaminationservicesforvariouscases-thusbecomingareferralcenterfortheradiographicexaminationintheregion.Alotofclinicalcasereferralshavebeenrecorded,butnoonehasresearchedthedistributionofclinicalcasesreferredforCBCT-3Dexamination.Objective:ThisstudyisaimedtodeterminethedistributionofclinicalcasesreferredforCBCT-3DradiographicexaminationatRSKGMPUniversitasAirlanggabasedonorigin,age,andgender.Methods:Thisstudyisadescriptivestudywithasampleofallclinicalcasemedicalrecords,CBCT-3DexaminationreferencedataatRSKGMPUniversitasAirlanggafromJuly2015toMarch2020,whichmetthesamplecriteria.Furthermore,thedataistabulatedanddisplayedusingpiechartsandbarcharts.Results:MostreferralsforCBCT-3DradiographycamefrominternalreferralsofRSKGMPUniversitasAirlangga(78%).Theelderlypatients(46yearsandover)hadthemostreferrals(59%)ofallagegroupswiththemostindicationforimplantcases(78.9%).Femalepatientsslightlymoredominatedthetotalreferrals(57.5%)thanmalepatients(42.5%).Conclusion:MostoftheclinicalcasesofreferralforCBCT-3DradiographicexaminationwereimplantsandcamefrominternalRSKGMPUniversitasAirl
