Abstract

Parent's practice which less of attention on enuresis can effect enuresis problem for both parent and children. Nurse's role can help parent to develop practice about enuresis, provide infonnation, guidance, and support by giving health education about behavioral therapy. They are general behavioral approach, establishing motivation, managing fluid intake, and training to wake up. The objective of this study was to investigate influence of health education about behavioral therapy on the parent's practice and frequency of enuresis on pre school age child at Kindergarten ofRA.AL-Hikmah Kediri. Study use Quasy-Experimental design. Sample are 16 individuals who met the inclusion criteria. They were divided into 2 groups, intervention and control groups, each comprising 8 individuals. Data was collected using questionnaire, observation, and structure interview. Result : Parent's practice in the intervention group has significance level ofp = 0,015 with Wilcoxon Signed Rang Test, while that in the control group was p = 1,000. Mann Whitney U Test hasp= 0,602 in pre test and p = 0,002 in post test. Frequency of enuresis in the intervention group hasp= 0,001 with Paired t Test while in the control group p = 0,180. Independent t Test hasp = 0,726 in pre test and p = 0.021 in post test. Conclution : there are significant influence of health education about behavioral therapy on the parent's practice and frequency of enuresis on preschool age child.
