Abstract

One of the conservations places for Bengal tiger is Taman Safari Indonesia II Prigen. The monitoring of health of these tigers is important in order to support the conservation of wild animals. Helminthiasis examination was done by fecal examination in order to find the prevalence and the type of helminth in their fecal at Taman Safari Indonesia II. Fecal samples were collected from 18 tigers that live in the same area. Tiger would be determined positive infection by helminth, if there was found helminth egg. Fecal samples were examined by sedimentation and floatation methods. The result showed that 72.22 % of Bengal tiger which were checked by sedimentation and floatation methods identified, that were infected by nematode. The nematodes' eggs were Toxocara sp., Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma sp., and Strongyloides sp.
