Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the level of Early Pregnancy factor (EPF) in blood serum of pregnant Ettawa croosbred goat by the biuret method. · This research was descriptive laboratories. Blood serum collected from five pregnant Ettawa crossbred goat with age of pregnancy around two month. The blood samples were taken directly from jugular vein. Serum was taken from the blood by centrifugation and than stored frozen, than protein in the serum was measured by biuret and tested using 540A. Bausch-Lommbs spectrometer. The result shwed that EPF level evarage was 11.182± 1.116 Jtg/ml. the highest and the lower level ofEPF in this research were 12.450±1.116 J.lg/ml and 9. 780± 1.116 J.lg/ml. the result indicated that EPF level was increased in pregnant goat It could be concluded that biuret method can be used yo measure the level of EPF in blood.
