Abstract
Results of competency on practice had done in class laboratory or clinic Its used simulation, demonstration, role play and bedside teaching. Wrong Apply of learning methode, Its make students more difficult to study, Its bad influence of competency result. The objective of this study was aimed to compare the effectivity learning methode of bedside teaching and demonstration on competency result of NOT (Naso Gastric Tube) feeding in polytechnic of health, Samarinda, east Kalimantan. Design was used in this study was pra-experiment design with one shot case study. The population were 17 respondents. Sampling technique was purposive non probability sampling. Total samples were 10 respondens. They were taken according to inclusion criteria. The independent variables were effectivity of bedside teaching and demonstration methode. The dependent variable was competency result ofNGT Feeding. Besides cognitive, affection and phsycomotor was measured. Dependent variables were measured by questioner and observation sheet. Data were collected will be analyzed using SPSS in windows programme, Mann Whitney U test with level of significance 0,05. Result of Mann Whitney U Test showed that the effectivity learning methode of bedside teaching and demonstration on competency result of NGT (Naso Gastric Tube) feeding. Cognitive (p=0,59), Affection (p=O, I l). Its had been significant level more than 0.05. It could be conclude that learning methode of bedside teaching and demonstration hadn' t been significant on competency result (cognitive and affection) of NGT (Naso Gastric Tube) feeding. Phsycomotor (p=0.02), it could be conclude that learning methode of bedside teaching and demonstration had been significant on competency result (pshycomotor) ofNGT (Naso Gastric Tube) feeding. Bedside teaching is more effective than demonstration either affection or phsycomotor aspect. Either the bedside teaching or demonstration could be applied as learning method to improve competency of NGT (Naso Gastric Tube) feeding in polytechnic of health, Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
