Abstract
Introduction: The early patient admitted to the hospital faced new environment and the the strange situation. Moreover, the complicated administration procedure made anxiety and fearness of patient bigger. Infographic admission orientation methods with booklet which contained information visualization of early patient can make patient easy to understand the condition of
treatment room. The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of info graphic admission orientation methods with booklet to the behavior of the patients early admitted to the hospital.
Method: This research used quasy experimental design. The study population was the early patient who entered the hospital in the Teratai Room Dr. Soegiri Hospital Lamongan. Study sample used purposive sampling technique. 28 respondents included in the study inclusion criteria. Analysis of data used a statistical test Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U test with significant level as 0.05.
Result: The results showed that the infographic admission orientation methods with booklet affect changes in knowledge and actions of the em Iy patients in the hospital. The attitude of the early patients in the hospital did not change after being given the infographic admission orientation methods with booklet.
Discuss and Conlusion: Conclusion of this research are the info graphic admission orientation methods with booklet effect on behavior change (except the attitude) of the patient early admited to the hospital. Hospital institutions need to develop a format of admission orientation which can brought easily and understood by patients so as to improve the quality of hospital services. Future studies could be done on analyzing the behavior of nurses about right implementation admission orientation.
