Abstract

Digestive case is the most case ever happens among the other surgery cases. In the last two months in the year of 2001 the number of abdomen trauma cases in the Ruang Bedah Akut Rawat Inap Dewasa (Adult InHouse Treatment Surgery Room)of Dr. Soetomo hospital is 99 cases (data medical record). The case usually takes hospital treatment, whereas the patients treated in hospital at the amount of 30%-60% usually feel stress (Ana. K 1999). Hence, information is one of the important factor which is given by the nurse for the patient. Based on the problem, it is indeed important to make a research about the relation between knowledge of the nurse' behavior in giving treatment information for the abdomen trauma patient in the Surgery Room at the RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya.
