Abstract

Learning process at study program of nursing's knowledge at Unair Surabaya sometimes could not run according to the schedule, this matter is caused because university's student of study program of nursing's knowledge do not have fixed space for themselves, so those matter could become feeling of disappointed for university's student. Thus how university's student react about those matter reflect the personality of university 's student and those matter will be solved through well emotional coping. The purposes of this research is to study relation tendency type of introvert and extrovert personality with emotional mechanism coping in facing problem about college space at university's student of physician faculty Unair Surabaya. The design of this research is using descriptive design. Respondent population is entire university's student study program of nursing's knowledge program Al and program B5 which is amounted 121 persons, using total sampling technique. Data collection that is used by using questionnaire and it is analyzed. The result of the research shows relation between tendency type of introvert and extrovert personality with emotional mechanism coping at university's students program A shows X2 = 1,710 with significance P = 0,425. Meanwhile, program B relation between tendency type of introvert and extrovert personality with emotional mechanism coping shows that X2=4,759 with P=0,093. TIus matter give meaning there are not strong relation between tendency type of introvert and extrovert personality with emotional mechanism coping. The conclusion of this research that is maintained that most of university's student of Study Program of Nursing's Knowledge have tendency type of introvert and extrovert personality and using good emotional mechanism coping in solving every problem.
