Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the exsistence of Influenza virus subtype HI which observed on bats respiratory organs in Indonesia Island. The study was begin on April - May 201-r" conducted in Avian Influenza Research Centre (AIRC) Airlangga University Surabaya. Total of ninety nine samples was collected represent four archipelago consists of Bawean Island, West Borneo Island, Surnatera Island and Riau Island. Bats respiratory organs that were collected smoothed and mixed with streptomycin and inoculated in chicken embrionated egg. The allantoic fluid was used for haemaglutinin protein activity using microtechnique Haemaglutination test (HA). Sample of HA titre that had more 22 continue with Haemaglutination Inhibition (HI) test using HI antisera. There are 13 samples that found as a positive samples with HA test from inoculated chicken embrionated egg. Which from total 99 of samples then continued with HI test. The result showed that one sample from Bawean Island (BW-3) positive has identified HI virus.
