Abstract

Virtual reality has become a technology that is commonly used by people today. Virtual reality itself can support and facilitate community activities. Even so, there are still many people who are not familiar with the features and uses of virtual reality. Therefore, the user manual is very useful to make it easier for users to use virtual reality. In preparing a good user manual, there are several grammatical features that must be considered, two of which are imperative sentences and simple present. Imperative sentences are used to give the instructions, and simple present to make a continuity of the steps that the user needs to follow. The report used three instruments to collect data: observation, feedback, and documents. This report has two results. Firstly, the report focused on talking imperative sentences in the form of command and request. Secondly, simple present is used in the user manual to give continuity and avoid misunderstandings when using virtual reality.
