Abstract

When learning English as a foreign language (EFL), children begin with a vocabulary that is thought to be the primary source of language usage What levels of vocabulary were used in making the "Let’s Play with Colors" activity book What are the characteristics of an activity book entitled "Let’s Play with Colors" To discover the levels of vocabulary used in making the "Let’s Play with Colors" activity book. To discover the characteristics of an activity book entitled "Let’s Play with Colors" To identify the vocabulary levels and the characteristics in making an activity book, the author looked through Cambridge dictionary and theory from Pusat Perbukuan (2008) to determine the kind of vocabulary levels and characteristics that were utilized in the activity book There are 4 different kind levels of vocabulary in the book and 3 different kinds of characteristics that included. The purpose of the author’s activity book was to provide a helpful tool for young learners (ages 3-5) to practice writing and expand their vocabulary in English regarding color. This book includes 10 pages including the cover. In this chapter the writer has summarized what is contained in the previous chapter. The writer has answered the statement of the problem in the final report: (a) What level of vocabulary was used in making the "Let’s Play with Colors" activity book (b) What are the characteristics of an activity book entitled "Let’s Play with Colors"
