Abstract

Public Service Agencies (BLU) under the Ministry of Agriculture show variations in the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM), which reflect differences in the quality of public services provided. This study aims to analyze the effect of job satisfaction on public service motivation among employees of BLU within the Ministry of Agriculture. The study employed a quantitative research design using a cluster sampling technique, involving 71 employees from three BLU work units. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring job satisfaction and public service motivation. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the relationships between the variables. The results indicate a significant positive effect of job satisfaction on public service motivation. Higher levels of job satisfaction are associated with higher motivation to serve the public. Based on the regression analysis, only three dimensions of job satisfaction were found to have a significant relationship with public service motivation, namely the nature of work as the most dominant factor (β = 0.458), followed by benefits provision (β = 0.426) and supervisory support (β = 0.330).
