Abstract

Haruki Murakami is one of Japan 's famous writers in the world. There are many of his works that have been published in several foreign languages. Some Murakami 's work has unique narrative discourse. Three of his works are unique in its narrative discourse is 1Q84, Norwei no Mori, and Suputoniku no Koibito. The most unique one is Suputoniku no Koibito. In the early part of this novel seems that the novel is told by one figure, that figure initials K. But each character has their own perspective. At the end, the story re-told by the initials figures K. So that needs to be examined against the obscurity viewpoints and narrator in the novel Suputoniku no Koibito. This research used structural approach, disassemble text then describes the relationships between elements. This research used Gerard Genette’s theory of narratology. The study result are, first, Suputoniku no Koibito has internal focalization with plural variabel. Secondly, Suputoniku no Koibito is a novel that has homodiegetik second type, the narrator merely as a side character in the story. Third, that kind of narrator in Suputoniku no Koibito is the narrator character , that character as the narrator. Fourth, Suputoniku no Koibito is an egalitarian novel.
