Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of subclinical mastitis related the risk factor subclinical mastitis occurrence. A total of 20 samples of PE goats were tested using the California Mastitis Test (CMT) method to determine subclinical mastitis, while the risk factor collection were carried out by direct interviews with farmers. The results of the study found that the prevalence incidence of subclinical mastitis in PE goat in the Gombengsari Agrotourism area, Banyuwangi Regency was 40%. The risk factor that contribute to the occurrence of subclinical mastitis in PE goats, which included milking time, milk production, lactation cage, number of goats in one cage, washing the udder, number of calving PE goats, person who do the milking, teat dipping, and age
