Abstract

Pemilu dan partai politik merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari demokrasi. Demokrasi tidak bisa berjalan, mana kala tidak terselenggarakannya pemilu secara jurdil dan kompetitif. Begitu pula, demokrasi tidak dapat berjalan lancar, jika tidak ada peran dari partai potitik. Partai politik memainkan sejumlah peran dalam demokrasi, diantaranya sebagai sarana Komunikasi politik. Komunikasi potitik yang terbuka dan bebas, akan sangat mendukung terciptanya iklim demokrasi yang kondusif. Dan sebaliknya, ketiadaan komunikasi potitik yang bebas akan mematikan demokrasi. Oleh sebab itu, partai politik, komunikasi politik, dan demokrasi, merupakan mata rantai yang saling menguatkan. Perjalanan partai politik sangatlah bergantung pada siapa saja yang menyokong keberadaan mereka, maka untuk berjalan dibutuhkanlah mesin politik Mesin politik adalah tim sukses yang dipimpin oleh seorang ketua yang membawahi bidang – bidang yang bertugas mempromosikan partai politik yang dibentuk oleh masing – masing pengurus partai politik dalam satu struktur tim sukses yang dipublikasikan ke masyarakat. Begitu juga dengan partai Demokrat. Partai yang baru berusia 6 tahun ini secara mengejutkan pada pemilu legislatif lalu meraih kemenangan yang signifikan di hampir seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Karena itulah, penulis mengangkat strategi politik partai demokrat dalam pemilu legislatif 2009 di Kota Surabaya. Tingginya tingkat persaingan dari dalam dan luar partai,membuat setiap partai politik lebih seksama dalam menentukan strategi. Program pengembangan partai untuk tumbuh dan kuat di akar rumput, membuat Partai Demokrat tidak sekedar sebagai wadah perpolitikan saja, tetapi juga berperan sebagai organisasi masyarakat yang peduli pada kehidupan rakyat kecil. Kuatnya pengaruh figur SBY sebagai pendiri partai juga menjadi salah satu senjata utama partai ini. Selain itu, pengurus dari tingkat ranting sampai pusat giat turun ke bawah untuk meraih simpati masyarakat. Sehingga, masyarakat yang mengalami euforia akibat kinerja pemerintahan SBY pada akhirnya menentukan pilihan politiknya pada Partai Demokrat. Communication potitik an open and free, will greatly support the creation of a conducive climate of democracy. And on the contrary, the absence of free communication potitik will kill democracy. Therefore, party politics, political communication, and democracy, is a chain of mutually reinforcing. Travel political parties are very dependent on those who advocate the existence of them, then to walk dibutuhkanlah political machine political machine is a team success headed by a chairman who oversees the field - the field in charge of promoting the party formed by the respective political - each political party officials in a successful team structure published to the public. So is the Democratic party. Party of 6-year-old was a surprise in the last legislative elections won a significant victory in almost all parts of Indonesia. Therefore, the authors raised the political strategy democrat party in the 2009 legislative election in the City Surabaya. The high level of competition from within and outside the party, make any more political parties carefully in determining strategy. Development program to grow and the stronger party in the root grass, making the Democratic Party politics is not merely as a container, but also play a role as community organizations that care about the lives of small people. The strong influence of figure SBY as founder of the party is also one of the main weapons of this party. Thus, society experience euphoria due to the performance of SBY government ultimately determine political choices the Democratic Party.
