Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine hair growth potential activity of ethanol 96% extract Murraya paniculata leaves. The sample was applied on dorsal portion of the back rat and observed after 21 days treatment. This activity was determined by the histological studies of the rat skin by determining the sum of hair follicle in 1mm2 area of the rat skin both the control and treated rats. The activity was analyzed by parametric ANOVA one way and followed by post hoc test LSD method. It was concluded that ethanol 96% extract of Murraya paniculata leaves has hair growth promoting effect on rat.
