Abstract

Kajian mengenai partisipasi politik adalah sebuah hal yang penting terutama di negara-negara yang sedang berkembang nilai-nilai demokrasinya. Karena partisipasi politik merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam berdemokrasi. Pada pemilihan umum presiden Indonesia tahun 2014 ada sebuah fenomena baru dalam perpolitikan Indonesia yaitu munculnya relawan politik yang bertujuan untuk mendukung pasangan calon presiden dan wakil presiden Joko Widodo dan Jusuf Kalla. Dukungan tersebut diberikan oleh relawan PROJO Jawa Timur dalam bentuk partisipasi politik yang beragam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif agar didapatkan informasi yang cukup mengenai bentuk-bentuk partisipasi politik yang dilakukan relawan PROJO Jawa Timur selama pemilihan umum presiden tahun 2014. Setelah pemilihan umum presiden selesai, relawan PROJO Jawa Timur tidak langsung membubarkan diri melainkan mereka ingin memiliki peran untuk mengawal dan mengawasi jalannya pemerintahan Jokowi-JK selama lima tahun ke depan. Hingga pada akhirnya relawan PROJO Jawa Timur mentransformasikan diri dari yang sebelumnya hanyalah sebuah organisasi relawan yang bertujuan untuk memenangkan kandidat menjadi sebuah organisasi kemasyarakatan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat Jawa Timur khususnya. Translation: Political participation is an important things happen for the developing country especially the democratic values. Because political participation is an effort to include the citizen into nation public spare. The 2014 election, particullary in presidential election there is a new phenomenon in the Indonesia political situation, it’s arise many political volunteers to support the president candidates Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla. The voluntary things are given by PROJO Jawa Timur in diverse forms of political participation. This research was conducted with qualitative methods in order to obtain sufficient information about the forms of political participation that has been done by PROJO Jawa Timur during the presidential elections in 2014. After the presidential election, PROJO Jawa Timur indirect dismiss themselves but they want to contribute more in political participation and oversee the government of Jokowi-JK in the next five years. They transform themselves from the political volunteers that has ordinally purposed to win their candidate into incorporated civil organization which aims to provide benefits to society, especially in Jawa Timur.
