Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pola perilaku penemuan informasi di kalangan komunitas “bisa menulis” (KBM). Terdapat rumusan masalah dalam penelitian adalah Bagaimanakah pola perilaku penemuan informasi para anggota komunitas “bisa menulis” (KBM) di Regional Surabaya berdasarkan model perilaku penemuan Informasi dari Meho dan Tibbo, (2003). Model perilaku penemuan informasi tersebut revisi dari David Ellis yang dilakukan pada tahun 2003 dengan melakukan penelitian di kalangan ilmuwan sosial dari berbagai macam multidisiplin ilmu, namun pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan model perilaku penemuan informasi dari Meho dan Tibbo untuk mengambarkan pola perilaku penemuan informasi di kalangan KBM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuatitatif deskriptif, dengan jumlah responden 102 dari anggota KBM. Data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan penyebaran kuisioner dan wawancara bebas terpimpin. Hasil penelitian adalah: 1) Perilaku penemuan informasi anggota KBM melakukan kegiatan awal dengan menentukan tema/ide untuk menulis sebanyak 80 responden (78,4%), 2)Kebanyakan anggota KBM melakukan kegiatan chaining mundur dengan mengembangkan cerita dari informasi yang didapat sebanyak 60 responden (58,8%), 3)Para anggota KBM cenderung menelusur sumber informasi dengan menggunakan sumber dari website terpercaya sebanyak 43 responden (42,2%), 4)Melakukan kegiatan monitoring dengan melihat aktualisasi data pada website terpercaya sebanyak 47 responden (46,1%), 5)Melakukan kegiatan accessing dengan secara rutin mengikuti perkembangan informasi melalui Koran, televise, dll sebanyak 53 responden (52,0%), 6)Melakukan kegiatan differentiating dengan merujuk pada sumber informasi yang diperoleh yang diharapkan informasi lebih detail dan jelas sebanyak 42 responden (47,2%), 7)Melakukan extracting dengan membaca secara detail informasi yang diperoleh secara langsung maupun tidak langsung sebanyak 44 responden (55,7%), 8)Kegiatan verifying dengan melihat daftar pustaka sebanyak 30 responden (38,5%), 9) Kegiatan networking dilakukan dengan saling memberikan komentar pada karya anggota lain untuk mempererat pertemanan yang terjadi dalam KBM sebanyak 33 responden (39,3%), 10) Kegiatan information managing dengan mengelompokkan ke dalam beberapa dokumen, sehingga mudah dalam proses temu kembali sumber informasi yang sudah diperoleh sebanyak 63 responden (81,8%). Translation: This paper discusses the discovery of a pattern of behavior in the community information "could write" (KBM). This research uses descriptive quantitative method, with a total of 102 respondents from members of KBM. Data was collected using questionnaire and interviews free guided. Results of the study are: 1) Seeking information behavior in KBM members conduct initial activities to determine the theme / idea to write as much as 80 respondents (78.4%),2) Most members of KBM conducting activities chaining backward with to develop the story of the information obtained as many as 60 respondents (58.8%), 3) The members KBM tend to browse information resources using reliable with sources of website as much as 43 respondents (42,2%), 4) Conduct monitoring activities with to see the actualization of reliable data of website as much as 47 respondents (46.1%), 5) Access activities done with in regularly keep abreast of information through newspapers, television, etc. as much as 53 respondents (52.0%), 6) The differentiating activities with reference to the source of the information obtained is expected give to more detailed information and clear as many as 42 respondents (47.2%), 7) The activities extracting by reading detailed information obtained directly or indirectly as many as 44 respondents (55.7%), 8) The activities verifying by looking at the bibliography of 30 respondents (38.5%), 9) The activities networking carried out with interdependent giving commentary on the work of other members to cultivate friendships in KBM member as much as 33 respondents (39.3%), 10) The activities managing information by grouping into several documents, so it is easy in the process of information retrieval that has been acquired as many as 63 respondents (81.8%).
