Abstract

In December 2010 On Mimika district has found 2463 cases described as massive case cumulative point on Papua. Midwives who helping birth and un-implemented procedures of preventing transmission of HIV / AIDS notified as a risky group in terms of acquiring or transmitting HIV (KPAD, 2010). The fact remains some midwives who not equipped with personal protective equipment, found exposed amniotic spread. The main purpose in these research is to identify related factor in terms of midwives behaviour to prevent HIV/AIDS transmission in case of spontaneus delivery care in RSUD Kab Mimika and RS Tembagapura 2011. The research methods uses observational analysis with cross sectional design. Involving on duty midwives on maternity ward RSUD Kab Mimika and RS Tembagapura 2011 was held on November 7- December 5. A total sampling taken to 30 midwives. Data analysis uses chi square test and logistic regression. The analysis result indicated a relation factor between policy provided and the SOP’s with pvalue (0.011) <α (0.05). Unrelated variables, known as age with pvalue (0.643), educational background with pvalue (0.3), years of service with pvalue (0.643), wages with pvalue (0.166), knowledgement with pvalue (0.407), attitude with pvalue (0.267), and training with pvalue (0.682). Variables of facilities, supervisor and workmate support notified can’t be tested in terms of its contain constant data analysis. The most related dominant factor is the existences of policies and SOP’s.
