PREVALENSI Oesophagostomum sp dan Ascaris suum PADA TANAH KANDANG BABIRUSA (Babyrousa babyrussa) DI KEBUN BINATANG SURABAYA.

Abstract
The purpose of this research to know prevalence of Oesophagostomum sp and Ascaris suum, and correlation between Oesophagostomiasis and Ascariasis of babirusa with presence of Oesophagostomum sp and Ascaris suum in soil babirusa's stall at Surabaya's zoo. This research used 22 samples of soil and faeces from 25 babirusa's stall using centrifugal flotation method, with sucrose specific gravity (SG) 1,2 for soil samples and surfeited sugar specific gravity (SG) 1,2 for faeces samples. The datas were calculated by prevalence's formula and analyzed using Chi-square and Spearman correlation. Result of the research revealed that prevalence of Oesophagostomum sp in soil babirusa's stall and Oesophagostomiasis in babirusa's faeces were 50 % and 100 %, showed significant at Surabaya's zoo (p<0,05). Prevalence of Ascaris suum in soil babirusa's stall and Ascariasis in babirusa's faeces were 9,1 % and 31,8 %, showed no significant at Surabaya's zoo (p>0,05). Also showed correlation between Oesophagostomiasis and no correlation between Ascariasis in babirusa with presence of Oesophagostomum sp and Ascaris suum in soil babirusa's stall at Surabaya's zoo.
