Abstract

Red nila male has been used of the research. About 20 red nila ( Oreochromis niloticus) is anaesthetized by dipping in clove oil (Eugenia aromatica) that has dissolved by ethanol. The research is purpose to get effective anaesthetic concentration and for red nila fish. Fully Randomized Design ( RAL ) is the used research, after the LSD 5% test was used to the determine the optimal concentration when there was a significant different in the results. The result showed the was no different in the time of unconsciousness ( p>0,05 ) but the optimal recovery time was 25 ppm which was different significant from the other concentrations (p<0,05).
