Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate effects suplementation of chlorella¬probiotic to titer antibody post vaccination against Avian influenza, a trial was conducted using twenty eight Lohman strain layer hens. Experiment was conducted by using completely randomized design factorial pattern with 4 treatments, 7 replicates and 1 hens each replicate. The treatments involved: P0 basal protein diet with 18% level, P1 low protein diet with only 14% level, P2 low protein diet plus 5% probiotics and P3 low protein diet plus 5% chlorella probiotics. Vaccination was held one week after treatments and 2 times booster were given each two weeks later, the sera for Hemaglutination Inhibition test (HI test) were collected one week post vaccination. The result was, post vaccination 2 gain the highest titer among the other, treatments indicates P2 the highest however not significant differences with P3. And the best titer HI on the end of trial was shown by P3, again not significant differences with P2. Immune response of laying hen with probiotics and chlorella was greater among the other.
