Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the antigen-antibody bond between antigens of Toxocara cati with serum anti-L2 Toxocara cati by Western blot technique. The protein fractions can be used as a diagnostic development toxocariasis. The first step is to make Toxocara cati homogenates obtained from the results of scour worm Toxocara cati were subsequently suspended in 1 ml of PBS then centrifuge. The second step analysis using SDS-PAGE with coomassie brilliant blue staining. The third step is characterized and detection using Western blot technique. The results of the analysis of proteins of the worm Toxocara cati using Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (SDS- PAGE) techniques obtained 20 protein bands with MR 11-177 kDa. Characterization of protein from Whole Worm Extract (WWE) worm Toxocara cati with serum anti-Toxocara cati get past a variety of proteins with relative molecular (MR) different. The results of Western blot knowable specific proteins in this study is a protein with MR 127 kDa, 110 kDa, 60 kDa, 49 kDa, and 11 kDa.
