Abstract

This study aims to determine the sensitivity of B. abortus S-19 LPS as antigen in detecting antibodies anti brucella of cattle and determine the prevalence of Brucellosis in Krian Sidoarjo slaughter house by Indirect-ELISA serological test. This study was conducted in September and October 2013. The blood serum samples used in this study were collected from 180 slaughtered of cattle in Krian Sidoarjo slaughter house. The result showed that the number of Brucellosis positive samples were 16 samples, which consisted of 6 samples of Friesian Holstein cattle, 4 samples of Madura cattle , 3 samples of Ongole cattle, 2 samples of Limousin cattle, and 1 sample of Balinese cattle. The overall sero prevalence of brucellosis in slaughtered cattle at Krian Sidoarjo slaughtered house showed 8.9% by using Indirect-ELISA serological test
