Abstract

The research aimed to determine the prevalence rate of ectoparasite on koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) at three different places in East Java. There were three fish aquacultures consisted of Canggu village Pare-Kediri, Bangoan village Kedungwaru-Tulungagung, and Kemloko village Nglegok-Blitar. Parasitological examination for presence of ectoparasite in fish sample was carried out using of native method. The prevalence of ectoparasite in Canggu fish aquaculture, Bangoan fish aquaculture, and Kemloko fish aquaculture were 65%, 65%, and 90%. The research was found four ectoprasites species, it were Trichodina sp., Dactylogyrus sp., Argulus sp., Lernea sp. The ectoparasite case was so high, then be needed action to repair management and maintenance of koi fish in the fish aquacultures in East Java.
