Abstract

This research has been done to know changing microscopic liver’s cell of mice through toxicitas acute test by using alkaloid of Achyrantes aspera linn’s leaf. 40 mice aged one and half month weighted ± 20 grams, devided into two researches 24 hours and 14 days, both devided into four treatment and five replicates. P1 as control per oral, P2 as treatment per oral, P3 as control intra peritoneal, P4 as treatment intra peritoneal. The treatments were given once everyday. The reaserch of histopat zooming 400x. Measurement of the liver change were considered insignificantly different at α<0.05. The result showed that Achyranthes aspera linn’s leaf alkaloid fraction 100mg/kg body weight caused a congestion, degeneration and necrosis insignificant case. The treatment 5g/kg body weight of Achyranthes aspera linn’s leaf alkaloid fraction were not caused the mice death. The conclusion is Achyranthes aspera linn’s leaf alkaloid fraction applied didn’t cause a significant disturbance on liver and including practically non toxic substances in LD50 class.
