Abstract

Obesity is the most common nutritional disorder of dogs, and definies as an accumulation of exxessive amouts of adipose tissue in the body. Total of 342 sample of dogs were collected and analyzed, prevalence of obesity in that population based by interviewed using visual scale of body condition score ( BCS). The body condition of the dogs was evaluated twice, fisrctly by owner : from a verbal descriotion by selecting 1 of 5 descriptors. The provided information on the dogs themselves ( age, gender, sexual status, type of diet, etc.) secondly by surveyor and measured their wight. The result show that the prevalence of obesity was 10,52%, comparison of sex patient of obesity in relatively connectred to their sex showed that the female dogs hame more 1,2 times risk than male dogs.
