Abstract
One of the causative agent in the low fertility in cattle population is the balance of hormone level, that could also be happen in the hypofunction of ovary. To imps-ove the cattle reproduction, superovulation by using hormones is an alternative hormonal treatment.The post menopause women produced gonadotropin hormone, known as hMG (Human Menopause Gonadotropin) because there is no real reaction of feed back mechanism from estrogen. This reaction increase FSH and LH level in their urine. So that, this hormone can be used as alternative material for superovulation in cattle.This research is a first step to identify of protein hMG, according to molecular weight by SDS-PAGE 12 % technique. Urine of post menopause women in range of age : 48 – 58 years, 59 – 69 years, and 70 – 80 years showed same protein band with molecular weight are 37,41 kDa; 45,46kDa; and 50,12 kDa. This research must be continued by next biological molecular research to know specific protein molecular weight of hMG.
