Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to know the larvaside ability of Permot leaf extracts on Aedes aegypti (Linn.) larvae within 24 hours. This experiment used 480 samples of A. aegypti (Linn.) larvae instar IV. Divided in to 6 treatment groups , 0 ppm (control),0.1 % PEG (control), 500 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, 2000 ppm. Each plastic glass was given 100 ml Permot leaf extract solution, contained 20 larvaes and replicated four times. ANOVA test was used to count mortality rate. Duncan test was used to find out the best treatment. Regression linier equation was applied to determine LC50. Concentration 500 ppm, 1000 ppm and 1500 ppm had larvaside ability but the mortality was not 100%, whereas concentration 2000 ppm had 100% larvaside ability within 24 hours. LC50 value of Permot leaf extracts against A. aegypti (Linn.) larvae instar IV was 1074.468 ppm. The result of statistical analysis showed significan difference (P<0,05) between treatment and mortality rate of larvae increase along the concentration.
