Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the prevalence of worm gastrointestinal disease in calf Limousine and Simental through stool examination at Asembagus subdistrict Situbondo regency. Stool sample were taken from the Asembagus subdistrict as many as 50 samples. Stool examination was performed by native, simple sedimentation and floatation methods. The results showed that 39 samples were positive infected by gastrointestinal helminth eggs, its indicate that helminthiasis prevalence was 78 %. The type of egg were Trematode class (Paramphistomum sp. 2%) and Nematode class (Bunostomum sp. 12%, Mecistocirrus sp. 50%, Trichuris sp. 6% , Toxocara sp. 2%, Oesophagustomum sp. 46%, Trichostrongylus sp. 4%).
