Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the correlation between livestock management applications toward brucellosis spreading on dairy cattle based on questionnaire method and Milk Ring Test. The systematic random sampling was used in this research and cross sectional approach with 160 respondents at Purwodadi Sub District Pasuruan. Data were presented in form of frequency distribution. The result shows that farmers livestock management toward brucellosis spreading were still low so the prevalence at Pasuruan District was 11,3%. The stable’s sanitation of respondent (30,6%) were thrown away the faeces by pile it near the stables. Respondent (15%) cleaned the stables once a day. Respondent (78,1%) had the stables near the house and the stable’s floor made from ground (53,1%). Respondent (45,6%) didn’t have calf’s stable and 90% respondent didn’t have birth stable. Respondent (60%) cleaned cows 2-3 times a week. 80,6% respondent have breast feeding to calf. The breeding method of respondent was artificial insemination and had pregnant examination. About 8,8% cows had abortus and 18,1% cows had retensio secundinae. Cows (74,4%) were not came from Purwodadi Sub districts. The shepherd method were grouping on the stables (89,4%). The measure of cows group were citizen farmer (72,5%). From the Chi Square statistic analysis, there were correlations between the livestock management applications toward brucellosis spreading.
