Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that can decrease body immune system. It is caused by high risk sexual behavior. Aims of this study was to analyze factor of sexual behavior, such as sexual partner, intercourse frequency, and the use condom when doing intercourse except with wife to the public transportation driver at Sidoarjo Residence. This study used cross sectional approach, the population was all public transportation drivers (62 respondents) who came to follow examination. Data collection was conducted through interview, observation, and questionnaire fulfillment. Then those were analyzed based on theory at present. The results showed that any 5% of public transportation driver that indicated positive HIV, with risky behavior as much as 22,8% doing intercourse with wife and whore, while 4,8% doing it with whore only, and there were 62,9% not use condom when doing it. Therefore, to reduce the risk exposed to HIV, some effort are needed, such as increasing knowledge and motivating about risky behavior communicated to HIV.
