Abstract

Maternal and child health problems was needs to get attention of all people. One of the causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia during labor and delivery nearly 90%. in the East Kutai district of Muara Ancalong health centers was still low at health facilities in 2012 was 35.1% and 2013 was 26.1%. This aims of this study were to analyze the influence of individual characteristics, psychology and social the place deliveries in health facilities. This research was an observational, and according to the time was a cross sectional. The population of this study were mothers have children under the age of 6 months. Sampling method was a multistage sampling with a sample was 34 people. The results of the research showed that the influence of variables on individual factors such as age (p = 0.142), education level (p = 0.013), occupation of household head (p = 0.554), the head of the family income, the variable factors psychology of perception (p = 0.591), confidence ( p = 0.123), social factors variables that family support (p = 0.019). Conclusion of this study that The level of education and social factors are the affecting place of delivery in health facilities. It is recommended to give knowledge about delivery in health facilities and provide IEC (information, education and communication) to nearest family, such as husband and parent.
