Abstract

Infant mortality is still a health problem in Indonesia. Most infant deaths are in the neonatal period. Neonatal deaths are caused by many factors, one of which is access to health services. Neonatal visit was conducted to determine the earliest possible problems on newborn. May increase the risk of neonatal death if not meet the neonatal visit. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the incidence of neonatal visits neonatal mortality in Kecamatan Kanor Kabupaten Bojonegoro. This research was observational with case control design with 1:4 comparation. Case population was 13 died baby ≤28 and control population was52 baby alive >28 days in Kecamatan Kanor Kabupaten Bojonegoro. The sampling technique used in this research was simple random sampling. The independent variables of this research was neonatal visit . Statistical analysis used in this research was chi square statistic (X2) with significance level α=0.05. The result showed that the significance value of first neonatal visit was p=0.000 (p <0.05) and second neonatal visit was p=0,000 (p<0.05). In conclusion, there was a relationship between neonatal visit and neonatal mortality in Kecamatan Kanor Kabupaten Bojonegoro.
