Abstract

Seloliman Environmental Foundation (YLHS), an NGO, has been working in environmental sustainability field for twenty two years up to the present time. As an NGO, it deals with the problem concerning its level of accountability and interdependence over its donors. Because NGOs are not driven by profit but rather by measures of accountability, financial management information systems for NGOs must be designed to ensure compliance with budget laws, other public finance rules and restrictions, and an entirely different set of accounting rules and reporting requirements. Based on that problem, the organization needs to develop Financial Information System to provide accountability to their stakeholders. The research was conducted using the case study method and considered as a qualitative exploratory research. It is expected that the application of Financial Information System will be useful for YLHS in developing the financial management system using the FIS model to encourage its accountability.
