Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing portrayal of women sexual activities to see the way women and doctor address women’s sexual matters. This study aims at disclosing whether there is certain gender bias performed and produced in the rubric of sex and psychology towards women sexuality. The data is analyzed by using the frame work of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) as proposed by Teun A van Dijk commonly called as socio cognitive approach. By applying this method of analysis, the data is undergone some steps of analysis which are analysis on macrostructure level, superstructure level, and microstructure level to come to the comprehensive text structure analysis. Corpus of this study was attained from the rubric of sex and psychology that appeared during November – December 2008.
