Abstract
Skandal is religion novel written by a Kristen novelist, Shusaku Endo. The story is about a Kristen writer, Suguro, who saw saomeone who resembling him exactly. Unfortunately, this ‘resembling’ person have a bad image and using Suguro’s name on his action. To prove his innocent, Suguro try to find this person. But, in the end of the story he find that the person who look like him is Suguro himself. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Analysis is done using Lacan’s psychoanalysis theory to answer following questions: 1.What is the meaning behind the appearance of a person who resembles Suguro? 2. How does the unconsciousnes take part in Suguro’ life 3. What does Skandal try to tell us?
