Abstract

This study is about the morphemic reduplication made by three year old Indonesian children. It is intended to find out the types of morphemic reduplication occur in three year old children's speech and the types of morphemic reduplication that mostly occurred in three year old children's speech The writer took the data from five recordings of speech of five children aged three years old. In this study, the writer used Kridalaksana's morphemic reduplication theories. In the process of data collection, the writer took naturalistic design by using non-direct participant observation. The writer used recording methods (audiotape) in collecting the data. The data collected were transcribed into orthographic transcription. Then, she found out the morphemic reduplication made by the children. Next, she analyzed those reduplications and finally found out the types of morphemic reduplication that mostly occurred.
