Abstract
Pada penelitian kali ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur, waktu, dan dosis optimal paparan gelombang ultrasonik terhadap inaktivasi bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode total plate counting untuk mengetahui jumlah prosentase kematian koloni bakteri. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemaparan gelombang ultrasonik dengan frekuensi 45 kHz dan daya 35 Watt dapat digunakan untuk inaktivasi bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Efek inaktivasi bakteri tersebut paling optimal diperoleh pada temperatur 40 dan pemaparan selama 9 menit dengan dosis sebesar 5.64 J/ml, dengan prosentase kematian bakteri sebesar 22.5%.
