Abstract

Cancer of the cervix is a gynecological disease in the cervix caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Data from the WHO there are 440,000 women in the world affected by cervical cancer each year, 80% of whom are in developing countries. Home Care Palliative is a form of health care provided to patients and their families to stay in place on an ongoing basis and comprehensively with the aim to improve the quality of life of advanced cervical penderita.kanker. The aimed of this study is identification quality of life of patients with advanced cervical cancer that has been done in the Home Care Palliative and Pain-Free Installation in RSUD dr. Soetomo. This study used a descriptive design. The population is patients with advanced cervical cancer conducted palliative care and using purposive sampling.The samples were obtained 16 respondents with inclusion criteria were cervix cancer stage IIB - IV, 30-50 years old, lives in Surabaya and exclusion criteria were decreased consciousness and difficult to outpatient. Variable research is quality of life of patients with advanced cervix cancer. The results showed Dimensions physiological, psychological, social, environmental in patients with advanced cancer, the majority of the medium category. The implementation of palliative care at home (home care palliative) is expected to be used as one of the effective ways to improve the quality of life of patients with advanced cervical cancer before the face of death. Family diaharapkan more care and can provide encouragement to the patient so that the patient live kualita achieve good category.
