Abstract

At Antenatal Care, ChildBirth Services and Post Natal Care, the nearest health workers in providing services is a midwife, and Situation Awareness is recognized as an important variable in all the work. Situation awareness is felt to know and be aware of the circumstances in accordance with the position of the situation. In this case the officer health care provider during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum contribute to the occurrence of maternal deaths. This study aimed to analyze the factors that affect Situation Awareness Midwives at antenatal care, childbirth and postnatal care. With random sampling technique obtained 96 midwives working in primary health care, namely in health centers and Midwife Independent Practice for the research samples. Furthermore, the results of research conducted multiple linear regression test to see the influence of the system and individu against Midwive’s Situation Awareness. With multiple linear regression analysis showed that individu factors affect midwife’s Situation Awareness in childbirth care with p = 0.000, and system factor affect midwife’s Situation Awareness on Post Natal Care with p= 0.000. Surabaya City Health Department as stakeholders on Ante Natal Care, Childbirth and Postnatal Care follow up on these results with a more appropriate intervention to improve antenatal care, childbirth and postnatal care. While for other researchers, this study can be used as material for further research.
