Abstract
The main cause of maternal mortality in East Java is hypertension in pregnancy (pre-eclampsia / eclampsia). The percentage of pregnancy who get early detection service of pre-eclampsia that compatible to SOP of health centre in Surabaya is still low at 26%. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence midwife obedience to implementation SOP pre-eclampsia early detection in Surabaya health centre. The study was observational analytic research using cross sectional design. The unit of analysis of this research is a health center with Surabaya health center’s midwife as an informant research. The study population was all of Surabaya health centers, while the study sample was using 20 Surabaya health centers. The variables in this study consisted of the independent variable is the individual factors (age, education level, employment status, and length of employment), organizational factors (managerial functions Head of Puskesmas, the availability of documents SOP early detection of pre-eclampsia, the writing of the results of the examination in the mother card, remuneration, reward and punsihment, and supervision) and the attendant psychological factors (perceptions of work and self-motivation), as well as the dependent variable obedience to SOP implementation of early detection of pre-eclampsia. The results show that there are health centers that have not run SOP early detection of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women according to prevailing standards. The level of education, managerial functions head of Puskesmas, and self-motivation significantly influence the implementation of the SOP obedience to early detection of pre-eclampsia. The obedience of implementation SOP early detection of pre-eclampsia in Surabaya affected by eduacation, managerial functions Head of Puskesmas and midwife self-motivation.
