Abstract

One of the problem in managing family planning program was still high rate of unmeet need in Indonesia. Acceptor in Madiun District was decreasing from over year and the number of unmet need was still high. Based on Riskesdas 2013, the main reason acceptor didn�t use family planning device for eligible couples whom have used family planning device was afraid with side effect from family planning device. The objective of this research was for analyzing correlation side effect of contraception device usage with participation status in family planning among eligible couples in Madiun District. The method used cross sectional design. The sample number was 93 eligible couples with simple random sampling. Data analyzis used multivariat analyzis with multi logistic regression. The result showed that was significant correlation in behavior intention variable (p=0,046; with the odd ratio value of 0,025), personal authonomy (p=0,007; with the odd ratio value of 1.127E3) about behavior of usage contraception device with participation status in family planning among eligible couples in Madiun District. There was also not significant correlation in social support variable (p=0,998), accesibility of information (p=0,254), action situation (p=0,997) about behavior of usage contraception device with participation status in family planning among eligible couples in Madiun District. The conclusion in this reseach there was correlation of behavior intention and personal authonomy about behavior of usage contraception device with participation status in family planning among eligible couples in Madiun District. The dominan variable in this research were personal authonomy about behavior of usage contraception device. There was also not correlation in social support variable, accesibility of information as well as action situation about behavior of usage contraception device with participation status in family planning among eligible couples in Madiun District.
