Abstract
PT. Boma Bisma Indra is the one of state owned corporation which organized the kind job of project. Some projects are running slow down so that it makes the detriment. Project Margin at PT. BBI is determinated by the percentage from 12 up to 16 as a means in contract agreement accordingly. The margin only reaches 10 % released, more over it reduced 6 % alias minus. In this case, it indicated that there is the obstruction in completing the project. Based on the background, it will apply MCS strictly, accurately, effectively and consistenly since in the beginning of the process until the end of the job. The reason is to achieve the margin target. The research uses qualitative methode, because the data is collected by using qualitative data and only a small part data is quantitative data as an additional. The qualitative data is intended by showing activities and one's idea which consists of description, statement, interview and the other supporting documentation or data. Data is gathered by carrying out partisipative observation and deep interview with key person. Besides the collected data, there are also some additional documents and recearcher own records. The object of research is scatered diesel power plant ( 6 X 2,5 MW ) occupied in three places. There are 6 (six) generators that are installed at Tanjung Pandan Sumatera 2 (two) units, Barabai Kalimantan 2 (two) units and Kendari Sulawesi 2 (two) units. Total contract of PT. BBI is 5.175.000.000 (IDR) with margin target 14 %. The goal margin target has been considered by examining of some aspect mainly, not only economical term of quality but also the schedule and experience of installing previous project. The application of MCS is focused on coordinating and controlling strictly and exactly in which the researcher participates in operational way. Coordinating of MCS is handled both of internal term and external term. The influence of researcher involves in taking place of the activities that consist of 3 categories, such as middle, active and full category. The result of MCS has a good effect which can be proved of 19 % for project margin achievement, if it is compared by previous planning only 14 %. The coordination and the approach for commitment always dominate in every solving problem. Therefore, the researcher to conclude how to apply MCS is doing strictly, exactly, effectively and consistently since in the beginning of the process until the completion project can reach margin target of scatered diesel power plant project.
