Abstract

Sterilization and Hospital Laundry installations Dr. Soetomo an installation in conducting sterilization of medical devices and laundering of linen for all existing installations at the hospital. All activities and equipment sterilization laundering of used linen is processed to be reused in a closed room, so this situation needs to watch out as the cause of health problems. In accordance with the purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of dust levels in the linen laundering against officials in pulmonary physiology disorders Installation Laundry Hospital Sterilization and Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Then the goal of this study was the officer who was in the linen laundering. This study was an observational study, design and construction, including case control study aimed to determine the effect of dust on the laundering of linen space on pulmonary physiology disturbances in the Installing officer in the Sterilisation and Laundry in Hospital Soetomo Surabaya. Nutritional status and smoking habits variables were gived effect for the lung function. But when they were test together, it were haven’t effect for lung function. Concluded that smoking habits and nutritional status are give effect for the lung function. Suggested to the officer in the laundering of linen masks, eat foods with balanced nutrition and the APD and the institution should provide its employees a health check at regular intervals.
