Abstract

Diabetic mellitus type 2 (DMTP 2) has been an epidemic in Indonesia. Successful contyrol on DMTP 2 of good blood glucose can prevent diabetic complications. The method used for determining glicemic controlis glicate haemoglobin (HbA1C) measurement.This study aims to analyze factors influencing glicemic control of DMTP 2 patients. This study is observation study, done retrospectively, using cross sectional approach. It was done in Bhayangkara Pusdik Brimob Watukosek (RBPB). The sample are the members of the populations of DMTP 2 patients who meet with the criteria. The sample size of this study is 65 respondents. Out of 65 DMTP 2 patients, 36 (55,4%) male and 26 (44,6%) female, are found 40 (61,5%) DMTP 2 patient having insufficient glicemic control and 25 (38,5%) DMTP 2 patients having sufficient glicemic control. It was found that there are 4 variables significant with glicemic control, knowledge about diabetes, theraphy adherence, physical exercise and diet intake. It can be concluded that knowledge about diabetes, therapy adherence, diet intake and physical exercise have correlation with glicemic control.
