Abstract

Lecturers as the core of human resources in higher education institutions. Lecturer�s performance has an important role in determining the quality of human resource in Indonesia. Based on the lecturer data of Sport Sciences Faculty of The State University of Surabaya (FIK-UNESA) in 2011-2012, is needed improvement of lecturer�s performance. For this improvement, this research need to determine the influence of satisfaction, motivation and perception of compensation with lecturer�s performance by using Chi Square as bivariate analysis and Logistic Regression as multivariate analysis. Results of hypothesis testing relationship with Chi Square test (continuity correction) between satisfaction with lecturer�s performance obtained p value: 0.021 (p ≤ 0.05) X ² = 5.346, motivation p value: 0.000, X ² = 41.72, perception of compensation p value: 0.000, X ² = 31.150. Meanwhile, the results of logistic regression = 0.25 (25%), the value of partial, variable satisfaction Sig.=0.013, motivation sig.=0,000, and perception of compensation Sig.=0,000. Furthermore, through some testing times with multivariate analysis for significant value (p value) smallest (p ≤ 0.05) and the value of Exp. (b) the largest ≥ 2.00, the obtained variables simultaneously influence lecturer�s performance is motivation with p = 0.000 (p ≤ 0.05), Exp. (b) = 20.720 and perception of compensation with p = 0.038, Exp (b) = 4.709. The results of this reseach found the influence between satisfaction, motivation and perception of compensation with lecturer�s performance, partially and simultaneously found the influence between motivation and perception of compensation with lecturer�s performance.
